Hi Everyone! Life update, right ahead!
Luke is now 17 months old. 17 months he has been in my life, physically. I am grateful for him every day. He is the funniest and most amazing kid I have ever met.
He has just started to get really affectionate. Although he has always rested his head on my shoulder when I hold him, now, he wraps his arms around my neck and gently squeezes. Every time it melts my heart and I don’t want to put him down.
He says a few words and makes a few animal noises, but not loads. He says bee, mama, dada, again, peeeeese (please, I think!), stamp stamp and bounce. He growls like a tiger/dinosaur – it works for both!
Luke has been really enjoying the warmer weather. He is totally solar powered! He loves water and playing in the garden.
Greg and I are great, tackling all the challenges that come our way together. We are a great team! He is the best dad, ever.
The business Greg works for may not be around much longer, so the pressure is on for me to find a full time job. I don’t think I am quite ready to leave Luke full time. I work three days a week at the moment for a business that couldn’t take me full time. Those two days a week with Luke are special to me. We spend them seeing our friends and swimming. It will be tough, but I take comfort in knowing that when he goes to Nursery, he will be played with all day, every day!
As stressful as this is, everything is okay. It will be okay.
My friends are all brilliant and supportive. They are all always there for us all.
Some have bought new houses, some are expecting new babies and one has just welcomed a gorgeous girl! I am so excited to see what this year brings. I LOVE BABIES!!!
I would say that overall, my life is great and I am really happy.
Nothing is certain, but is it ever?!
What a fun age! You’re right, as stressful as the changes ahead will be, it will all be ok!
Yup everything will turn out just fine. Treasure every minute with your little one, children grow up pretty fast. And it is on this stage that they are really sweet and cuddly. I had a great time with my son when he was this age, and up until now remembering them bring joy and smile to me and my husband.
Being and working as a team is so important. I’m glad you guys are doing great.
Looks like he is growing up to be a beautiful healthy boy! Goodluck in finding a full time job, sometimes it can be frustrating but I think you can find it!
